Indian Americans in San Francisco hold discussions on peace and safety after attacks on consulate
Indian American community leader and commissioner on President Joe Biden’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders Ajay Bhutoria, hosted a roundtable discussion in San Francisco on Tuesday on peace, harmony and safety within the Indian American community with US Department of Justice Representatives from Washington DC.
There were members from the Hindu, Sikh, Jain, and Muslim communities at the round table who addressed recent concerns within the Indian American community, including safety and security of the Indian consulate, hate crimes, and community tensions.

The event was aimed to promote understanding, build stronger relationships, and to ensure safety and security for everyone. The attendees engaged in a respectful and productive dialogue, sharing their thoughts, ideas, and experiences.
The discussion highlighted the importance of respecting and valuing diverse perspectives within the community, and ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to contribute to the dialogue. Department of Justice representatives Harpreet Mokha and Vincent Player were present at the event to listen to the community's concerns.
